Welcome to Ski Base, We are pleased to offer ski and snowboard rentals conveniently located right outside your doorstep at Ski Base. Owned and operated by Jay and Sari Lucas, we are Vail’s premier ski and snowboard rental shop. Our shop provides top-of-the-line demo ski rentals, snowboard rentals, equipment, repairs, and clothing at competitive prices.
Where are we in location to the Vail ski lifts?
Ski Base is conveniently situated in Lionshead, within close proximity to the gondola. To reach the Eagle Bahn Gondola from our shop, guests can exit the premises and head towards the escalators at Arrabelle. Descend the escalators and continue straight ahead for approximately 30 yards. The entire journey typically takes around 43 seconds.

Customers can take advantage of free overnight equipment storage for boots at a nominal fee, as well as competitive prices on seasonal repair and rental packages. Our experienced ski and snowboard technicians use the latest tuning equipment to ensure optimal performance. Conveniently located at the top of Lionshead escalator, behind Arrabelle and across from the Burton store, Ski Base is open daily from 8am to 7pm.
